The Action Learning method is inspired by the guidelines outlined in the “International Convergence of Permaculture” and the “Action Learning Manual” used by the British Permaculture Academy.
The method is described in detail in the “Action Learning Manual” which is given to all persons registered in the “Action Learning Pathway” and which constitutes the didactic and methodological reference point of the Swiss Permaculture Academy.
The Action Learning Pathway is an alternative self-training system to conventional systems where, after an initial and concise theoretical phase, a long practical phase follows.
Each apprentice designs his own Action Learning Pathway which lasts a minimum of two years, during which he is required to apply permaculture in his life and to practice the design (art. 6 – Statutes Swiss Permaculture Academy).
